It isn't too big and I don't know how it got there because I have never dropped it, it is being used or stored in the little travel thing that came iwth it, and I have never used anything to clean it that would scratch it.
Up until this last week that was the only problem. Where the cords swivals, depending on how its twisted the iron will not work. It is a huge pain. I have never once wrapped the cord around the iron!!! If I do anything with it is like in the package when purchased, loose big loops, other wise the cord is straight, no twists.
I thought about getting the same thing or another solia but I figure the same thing will happen in a year so I am looking at other brands. Well this chi i have worked great it did my hair in a wink i loved it. You know i wish CHI company could do a better job of constructing this material before they put it in stock it would be nice if all the ppl that buy it wont brake on it!!
My chi did the same thing as many others below are saying. I only came to this site to look for a new brand and to see if there was a way to have my chi repaired. I have had mine for less than a year.
