This title gives you every tool you need to create graphics, compose music, and program the short games the series is known for. One of the best parts about WarioWare is that most of these games can be played by large groups with a single DS by passing the console around. It takes the classic side-scrolling racing of the original games and the Advance series on the GBA and gives it a face-lift with 3D polygonal characters and highly detailed backgrounds.
It also introduces Blaze the Cat, a strong female lead with exactly zero romantic interest in Sonic, which is always a win. As one of the few titles in the Contra series not developed by Konami, people were wary of Contra 4 on the Nintendo DS. Luckily, the folks at WayForward did a fantastic job developing a game that retains a lot of what made the seminal run-and-gun so good. Plus you can actually play the original Contra and Super Contra after unlocking them in the Challenge Mode.
The Kingdom has come under attack by vicious monsters, and the hero who can drive them back gets to marry into royalty. Jam with the Band comes into the ranking as the best rhythm game on the NDS from a multiplayer perspective, thanks to its simple concept and flawless execution.
You and up to seven more band members choose a different instrument and play through the same song, creating a harmonic symphony and having a lot of fun. The classic frantic gameplay remains as addictive as always. And the more players, the more exciting and chaotic it becomes. Luckily, this DS title supports up to eight bombing maniacs trying to burn each other to a crisp in Battle Mode — which features over 20 fantastic maze-like stages.
Some of the most prominent minds in the industry were involved with its creation, including Tetsuya Takahashi, famous for his work on the Xeno series, and composer Yasunori Matsuda, of Chrono Trigger fame. The game lets you control one of eight unique characters to raid dungeons and fight enemies in fluid real-time combat. In multiplayer, you do this together with two friends.
You can also find an English translation patch here. I know some people find the happy-go-lucky atmosphere of the classic Advance Wars series a bit off-putting, considering the focus on war and destruction. The game features an entirely new, darker post-apocalyptic storyline independent from the previous entries in the franchise.
Like its Wii counterpart, Geometry Wars: Galaxies brings us one of the most visually appealing shoot-em-up experiences ever made. There are so many colorful shapes, particles, and effects, the game should probably have a seizure trigger warning. The game features three fantastic multiplayer modes, including a co-op campaign, a simultaneous mode where players fight for the highest score, and my favorite — a Vs. What makes it so unique is the tactical element, which lets you use the stylus to trace your trajectory through each mission strategically.
You can engage in frantic six-player dogfights or just go head-to-head with a rival pilot in an intense duel of cybernetics-enhanced animals.
The newest addition to multiplayer is Fever Mode, which activates after clearing enough of the trash your enemy will send your way and will let you pay them back in full. I definately recommend this one. Single Card and Multicard Play-this I know sounds really surprising seeing as the game is killed by it's massive amounts of glitches. I discovered that the Single Card Play was very fun, and my friends and I had a blast trying to fight eachother for the Han Solo carbonite.
This game is a little iffy, because to have real fun you need to have more characters. The single player kinda ruins this game. Multicard Play and Nintendo Wifi- It's sooo fun to see everyone's towns and hang out with people inside a virtual world.
I have also found that people like to give gifts when you visit their towns. Hooking up on Nintendo Wifi is awesome, Nintendo also sometime gives you items through Nintendo Wifi. I highly recommend this for Multiplayer and Single Player. This is an excellent game. Playing B-ball with some friends on a rainy day with your favorite Mario and Final Fantasy characters.
This game is very fun. I also say that this game is good for single player too. I recommend this game to any sports fan and beyond. The Wifi really adds to the greatness of this game. Having awesome dog fights with the very great and creative control scheme. I have heard mixed reviews on this game, but I feel like it isn't talked about as much as it deserves.
I recommend this game to anyone. I've had a blast with this game even with my mom. This game is also good for the casual audience, with games like poker, bowling, solitare, darts, billiard, and about 40 others. Everyone should get this game.
Single Card Play and Multicard Play- People don't really talk about this aspect about this game, but I felt like people should know. Racing at high speed with your friends and talkin' trash to each other is super fun. We have had tons of fun playing this game single player and multiplayer, so everyone should look forward to the sequel of this game. Multicard play and Nintendo Wifi- Now this has been the most hyped game in the life of the DS, and it is one of the most popular series in the world.
This game revolutionized the way Pokemon multiplayer has ever been played because of the Nintendo Wifi aspect of the game. You can trade and battle with the friends on your friend list and get some outstanding Pokemon and items. You can offer up Pokemon and get Pokemon in return. This is great for people would have trouble getting friends on their friend list. Voice chat is also great in this game. You get to talk to people while your trading, and battling.
